Where Should a New Direct Sales Consultant Start When it Comes to Social Media?

Where Should a New Direct Sales Consultant Start When it Comes to Social Media?

When it comes to marketing your direct sales business online, it’s important to establish yourself and your business on a few important Social Media networking sites. While there are many social media sites out there, here are the ones we recommend.

* Facebook
* Twitter
* Pinterest
* Google +
* Instagram
*Linkedin (You only need a presence here)

It is not important to get yourself established on all 5 of them immediately and it’s best to focus on one or two to just get started. Once you have set up a firm and consistent presence on those along with a growing amount of followers, you can slowly add a third, forth or fifth Social Media site to your networking efforts.
When getting yourself established on Social Media sites, it is important to educate yourself on all of the rules & guidelines associated with each site. All of the sites are different and different rules apply.
You want to set up a business profile on the sites you select and thoroughly fill out all of the requested information. When adding links to your consultant site and/or business blog, double check those links for accuracy.

Also, you will want to get involved in those social sites and become an valuable member of the community. This means you will want to follow like-minded business professionals, post any tips that you have, answer questions from other members and be as helpful and informative that you can.

For Social Media to pay off in your online networking efforts, you will need to be consistent with publishing new information onto your Social Media pages. The information you post has to be informative, accurate, concise and helpful. You have to walk a fine-line between advertising your business and publishing too much business spam.
